Write for us
Inspired Spotlight welcomes considered pitches about creative work and the ways it is made, presented and understood. We are interested in clear, original contributions that give curious readers a fresh point of entry.
What we welcome
Pitch explainers, comparisons, histories, interpretive essays and practical pieces connected to our coverage. Strong proposals focus on one specific question, explain why it matters to a general reader and offer a clear angle rather than a broad survey.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working title, central idea, likely structure and relevant experience or sources you would bring to the piece. Mention whether the work has been published elsewhere. Please do not send a finished article unless we have requested it.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include enough detail for us to understand the proposed piece. A pitch is not a commission, and we may not be able to respond to every proposal.
Curiosity is a good way in
A closer look can make creative work more legible without closing down its mysteries. We make room for the context, choices and different readings that help a work stay with you.
